What stays on this device#
Saved routes, points, imported polars and settings are stored in this browser on this device. They are not currently backed up or synced between devices. Invitation access does not provide a backup. Clearing site data, using private browsing or a browser removing stored data can lose them. Keep independent records of information you need.

Star favorites and protect their positions#
Use the star beside a route or point in the main list. Favorites move to the top and show a gold star. Starred points and saved route lines are gold on the map; selected routes and calculated sailing options keep their usual colors.
- Starred point: its position is locked against dragging and coordinate edits.
- Starred route: its stop list is locked. Unstar it before changing endpoints, adding or removing waypoints, reordering stops, reversing it or renaming the route. Departure comparisons and boat or comfort settings remain available.
- Shared point: only its own star locks its position. Moving an unstarred point updates every route using it, including starred routes. Unstarring a route leaves any point stars intact.
Select the star again to unlock an item. An open starred route also offers Unstar to edit route. These choices are saved locally with your routes and points.
Keep the map tidy#
The eye button shows or hides each route or point. Hidden items stay in the list, so you can show them again. Points used by a visible route cannot be hidden. Showing a route also shows its points; opening a hidden item shows it again. Visibility does not change its star or position lock.
Offline availability#
Previously loaded forecasts may remain in the browser, but a cache is not a complete passage pack. Data can be incomplete, stale or removed by the browser. Do not assume FairlySoon, a route or every forecast hour will be available offline. Only rely on an offline feature when FairlySoon explicitly confirms what has been saved, and retain independent navigation and weather arrangements.
