A forecast is missing or old#
Check the selected layer, source, valid time and any warning shown by FairlySoon. Models cover different variables and time ranges; updates can be delayed or incomplete. Some layers use a separate provider, so the source can differ from the selected atmospheric model. See Exploring the weather for how to read the source and timestamps.
Blank areas and missing warnings do not mean calm or safe conditions.
A passage cannot be calculated#
Check forecast coverage and try a different departure range, endpoint or boat assumption. A failed calculation does not establish that a passage is impossible. See Planning a passage to review the inputs.
The map or planning will not run#
Rendering and route calculations use WebGPU. Browser, operating-system, graphics-driver or device restrictions can make it unavailable. Try an up-to-date browser with hardware acceleration enabled, or another device. A rendering failure is not evidence that no weather or hazards exist.
See Browser and device support for compatible browsers and devices, plus steps to try.
Report an unresolved problem#
Select Feedback in the planning map’s three-line menu, or email us if FairlySoon will not open. See how to find and use the feedback form, including what to include and how to send access or security concerns privately.
